ATLAS ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use ATLAS at getatlas.ca.
Information We Collect
When you use ATLAS, we may collect:
- Account information — Name and email address when you sign in with Google.
- Conversation data — Travel queries and AI responses to provide the service.
- Usage data — Number of plans created per session for rate limiting purposes.
- Payment information — Processed securely by Stripe. We never store card details.
- Location data — Approximate location (city level) if you grant permission, used only to improve travel suggestions.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized AI travel planning
- To authenticate your account and manage your subscription
- To save and retrieve your trip plans
- To prevent abuse and enforce usage limits
- To improve ATLAS over time
Data Storage & Security
Your account data is stored securely in Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant database platform. Conversations are stored temporarily in your browser's local storage and cleared after 24 hours. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest.
Third-Party Services
ATLAS uses the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth — For sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — For payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — For database and authentication.
- Anthropic / Groq / Google AI — For AI responses. Queries may be processed by these providers.
- Vercel — For hosting and serverless functions.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your Rights
You may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your saved travel plans

Children's Privacy
ATLAS is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
